Methodology & how to use this
Avalanche vs snowball
Avalanche throws every extra dollar at the highest-APR debt first — mathematically the cheapest total-interest path. Snowball targets the smallest balance first — behaviorally powerful because you feel wins faster.
How the simulation runs
Each month we accrue interest on every remaining balance, pay the minimum on all debts, then apply your extra payment to the target debt for the chosen strategy. When a debt dies, that freed-up minimum plus the extra flows to the next target automatically.
